One of the things we love about working in the Bayside areas of Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, is the opportunity to take in the breathtaking water views, tranquillity and the contrast in homes.
The variety in styles of homes keeps the area unique and makes it a sought-after parcel of the world to reside in. From modern Australian inspired to contemporary coastal retreats our portfolio boasts several bayside beauties. Here are some of our favourites.
This project is one of Hansen Living’s most dramatic transformations. Consisting merely of a timber frame for three decades, we stripped it back to its shell and started again. With a view to enhance the home’s footprint, we endeavoured to blend the old with the new. We did this in a seamless fashion by respecting the original framework while adding onto and enhancing the floorplan.
Blairgowrie is now an entertainer’s delight consisting of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living areas including theatre room with bar, study area and pool. View more property details and photos here.
Taking inspiration from the natural elements surrounding the home, this project features a modern Australian-inspired palette of colours and varying textures. Internally the home boasts a subtle colour palette which contrasts with the black steel features including floor to ceiling windows. The windows invite light into the home while offering a focal point for every room – a view into the expertly manicured outdoor entertaining areas and gardens.
This magnificent beach front property was refurbished with a complete reconfiguration and redesign. The house was designed to maximise the spectacular view, with a focus on natural materials in the central living areas with dramatic design impact in the bathroom. See it here. This open plan home is a Hansen Living favourite and it was a joy to work with project Interior Designer Trish Toth from Design by T.
Here’s what founder of Hansen Living Scott Hansen has to say about developing homes in Melbourne’s Bayside:
“Bayside is a superb area to work in. I feel lucky to work in such a stunning coastal setting while developing equally stunning homes. The beachside feeling is good for the soul and I never get sick of driving to a job along the beachside road.” – Scott Hansen
