Meet Co-Founder & Design Director, Kirsten

Kirsten Zammit has styled nearly 100 homes in Melbourne’s most prestigious locations. Her talent for helping clients define their style while creating a cohesive vision for their home is impeccable. Kirsten plays a vital role here at Hansen Living, so we decided to put her on the spot and ask a few questions about her role.

As the Design Director at Hansen Living, what role do you play in bringing Hansen Living homes to life?

As the Design Director I get to work face-to-face with clients to help them determine the style and overall feel of their new home. To ensure I deliver a great result it’s imperative that I listen to the client and understand what they really want in terms of fixtures, fittings, colours and soft furnishings. Together we make the best possible choices to ensure they achieve their desired look which ultimately makes their house a warm and inviting home.

What do you love about your role at Hansen Living?

Having run my own styling company for years I love working as part of the experienced Hansen Living team. We all work well together and dedicate ourselves to delivering beautifully executed homes.

When it comes to the client, there’s nothing I love more than being able to bring their vision to life. Making every space in the home exciting and special is my goal and having a very happy client is extremely rewarding.

Do you have a favourite design style of late?

Right now, I am in love with coastal Hamptons inspired homes. This trend is in high demand.

Do you have a favourite project of 2019?

Given my passion for coastal living and the Hampton style homes, my favourite project would be our Sorrento development. The Sorrento project just sold at Auction under heavy competitive bidding. What a great way to finish the year!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love spending time with my husband and my 3-year-old daughter at our weekender on the Mornington Peninsula. On most weekends I find myself at property open inspections to see the latest design trends then finish the day relaxing at one of our favourite restaurants.

What does 2020 look like for Hansen Living and what excites you about the future?

We have quite a few new projects in our schedule already for 2020 and I am excited to be instrumental in making our client’s dreams a reality.
